The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2026–2028 is now open for applications. This prestigious fully funded scholarship offers outstanding international students the opportunity to pursue Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD degrees at top Irish universities.

Each year, 60 scholarships are awarded to high-achieving non-EU students, providing full financial support to study in one of Europe’s most welcoming and academically respected countries.

💰 Scholarship Benefits

Successful candidates will receive:

  • €10,000 stipend for one academic year to cover living expenses

  • Full tuition fee waiver (no tuition or registration fees)

📌 Note: The €10,000 stipend is provided for one academic year only. Tuition fee waivers may be extended by the host university if the program duration is longer.


🏛️ Participating Universities

Scholarship holders can study at leading Irish institutions, including:

University College Dublin (UCD), Trinity College Dublin, University College Cork (UCC), University of Galway, Dublin City University (DCU), University of Limerick (UL), Maynooth University, TU Dublin, RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and many more.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

You can apply if:

  • You are a citizen of a non-EU / non-EEA country

  • You are applying for a full-time Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or PhD

  • You have a conditional or final offer letter from a participating Irish university

❌ Not eligible:

  • Previous GOI-IES award holders

  • Russian and Belarusian nationals
