Financial Benefits

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • International Master’s or PhD applicants from any country

  • Must demonstrate a credible risk to personal safety, freedom, or right to education in their home country

  • Must meet the academic admission requirements of TU Darmstadt

  • Must be capable of successfully completing the proposed study or research plan

  • Must not be residing in Germany or the EU at the time of nomination

  • Must not have had an interruption of more than six years since last enrollment

  • Must provide proof of English or German language proficiency (depending on program language)

  • Refugee background

  • Chronic illness and/or disability (minimum GdB 50)

  • Gender identity–related challenges

  • Responsibility for childcare or care of dependent family members
