About HAW International Scholarship 2026
Applications are now open for the HAW International Scholarship 2026 in Germany, a fully funded research scholarship supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This prestigious program is designed for doctoral students enrolled at German Universities of Applied Sciences (HAWs/Fachhochschulen) who wish to conduct international research stays as part of their PhD.
The scholarship aims to strengthen international collaboration, promote practice-oriented research, and help doctoral researchers build global academic and professional networks through funded research stays abroad.
Research stays may take place in one or multiple countries and can last between 1 to 6 months, with flexible funding options throughout the PhD period.

Financial Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:
Be enrolled in a doctoral program at a German University of Applied Sciences (HAW) with the authority to grant doctorates
ORBe completing a joint doctoral program between a German HAW and another German university
Additional requirements:
Open to German and international students
Applicants already receiving doctoral scholarships from organizations supporting gifted students are not eligible
